these terms govern your use of talyq. by purchasing a founding seat or using the talyq application in any form, you agree to these terms. if you do not agree, do not use the service.
talyq is operated by an independent developer. for any questions, email hello@talyq.com.
these terms refer to the operator as “we” or “us” for readability. this does not imply incorporation or any legal entity status beyond the individual operator.
talyq is a browser-based personal ledger application. you log virtues and vices that you define. the service calculates a daily score based on the weights you assign.
talyq is a software tool. it is not:
if you are experiencing a mental health crisis, addiction emergency, or suicidal ideation, contact emergency services or a licensed professional. talyq cannot help in those situations.
any decisions you make based on talyq’s output are entirely your own.
you must be 18 years or older to use talyq.
one account per person. you are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
the founding member tier is a one-time payment of $30 that grants lifetime access to all paid features of talyq, including features released in the future. limited to the first 50 paying users.
“lifetime” means for as long as the talyq service remains operational. founding members will be migrated to all future paid tiers automatically at no additional cost.
founding seat licenses are personal, non-transferable, and non-exclusive. you may not resell, sublicense, share, or transfer your license key to any other person.
payments are processed by lemon squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for talyq. lemon squeezy handles billing, payment security, tax collection (where applicable), and refund processing.
by purchasing, you agree to lemon squeezy’s terms of service.
talyq does not store your full payment information.
founding seat purchases are eligible for a full refund within 7 days of the original payment date, no questions asked. after 7 days, founding seat purchases are non-refundable.

the virtues, vices, weights, and daily entries you create belong to you.

you agree not to:
the talyq name, logo, design system, visual identity, and software are owned by the operator. you may not copy, redistribute, modify, or claim ownership of any of these.
your personal log data is yours. the operator claims no ownership over the data you create.
your account may be suspended or terminated if you violate these terms.
you may terminate your account at any time by deleting it from settings. data deletion is permanent and not reversible.
in the event of a permanent shutdown of the talyq service, founding seat holders will receive at least 90 days advance notice by email and the opportunity to export all of their data before shutdown.
the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied.
talyq does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. talyq does not warrant the accuracy of any correlations, insights, or analyses produced by the service. you use the service at your own risk.
to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
the operator’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to talyq in the twelve months preceding the claim.
these terms may be updated. material changes will be notified by email to paying users at least 30 days before the changes take effect. the “effective” date at the top of these terms will reflect the most recent version.
continued use of the service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
